CAN YOU HELP WITH THIS NEEDED PROJECT?

A MINI-SERIES FOR TELEVISION

The Americans: Red, White and Black

This is to be a series like “Roots,” - “North and South” - a dramatic series, that includes documentary type ancient stories of each nationality as well as identifiable characters in each family's generations from before the Revolutionary War through to the present. The project is too big for me to handle alone. I need help with more research, organizing the stories; creating dramas based on as much truth as is available, however, for dramatic purposes, the stories must be created.  Most of all, I need fund raising to get this project produced or potential “connections“ in the industry.

There have been few or no movies or television programs about the Eastern Native Americans.  I realized that most people might not be interested in seeing a TV series only about the Cherokee Indians.  After moving to Asheville, NC and exploring my own Scott ancestors that arrived in the next county in the 1700's, I got it! I would base the series on THREE families - White Settlers -Cherokees - and Black Slaves!  "THE AMERICANS; RED, WHITE AND BLACK".  My Scott ancestors were planters and owned slaves.  That was the beginning of the past few years researching the life style of each, their  ancient history, et al. Few people know how civilized and advanced the Cherokee people were.  This series includes the struggles of each nationality, their joys, life styles, their conflicts with each other as well as times of working together. Struggles within each family are similar. There are more FANTASTIC stories than one series can depict to the public.  This is my effort to help inform and entertain the public about our history. My goal is to represent the struggles of all of the early Anglo-Saxon-European settlers through the Scott family,  the blacks represent all those of color that were brought or came here and the Cherokees represent all of the Native Americans that were the true owners of the land even thought it was not their belief to “own” it.

I hope you can sense my vision for creating understands between nationalities.

The Cherokee part begins with Ann’s visit to the Chief Vann House in North Georgia, then to New Echota, the Capitol of the Cherokee people that lasted only a few years.
